The new Hotbox Studios 3D Animation and Web Design Blog is now online!

The first Hotbox Studios blog post is an Autodesk Maya animation and shading tutorial. Mark Hatchard talks through the scene setup, modelling and animation of a 3D Candle. Mark then talks in detail about the shading, lighting and rendering of the subsurface scattering candle wax using Mental Ray for Maya.

Moving forwards we'll be posting animation and web design tutorials and guides; aimed to helping both those looking to get into the fields of animation and web design; and those looking to expand their existing skills.
