Custom Cloud Software updates for the My Cause UK PAAM Volunteer Recruitment and Management App

My Cause UK was setup by founder Robin Wilkinson to raise money for UK charities through the recruitment and management of festival volunteers.

My Cause UK volunteers work in a variety of roles including stewarding the stages, traffic management, ticketing and wristbanding, in the bars, programme sales and more at events including Love Saves The Day, Lemonfest, Noisily Festival, Secret Garden Party, Port Eliot Festival, Boomtown Fair, The Downs Bristol, and Tokyo World.

Everyone who volunteers with My Cause UK selects a charity, on the completion of their shifts at the event My Cause UK makes a donation directly to the volunteer's nominated charity. To date My Cause UK volunteers have raised over £15,000 for over 170 charities in the UK including Anthony Nolan, War Child, Shelter, Cancer Research UK, Rethink Mental Illness, and ActionAid UK.

We've worked with My Cause UK to develop a custom URL system for the My Cause UK PAAM system which allows My Cause UK to pass each charity they work with a unique link; each charity can then promote the volunteering opportunity to their supporters directing them to apply using the unique link. On following the link to apply each volunteer's charity is automatically entered into the volunteer's application profile allowing for donations to be tied to the corresponding charity.

We've also worked with My Cause UK to integrate Mailchimp into the My Cause UK PAAM Software App. When a new volunteer now signs up for a My Cause UK PAAM account their name and email address are automatically added to the My Cause UK Mailchimp mailing list.
