Development of Scripture Union's Holiday and Event Staff Volunteer and Attendee Booking and Management Web App

We have been working with Scripture Union developing new features for the company's Holiday and Event Staff Volunteer and Attendee Booking and Management Web App!

Founded in 1867 Scripture Union is a global movement active in over 120 countries that has been organising holidays, events and activities for children, young people and families for more than 100 years.

Scripture Union came to us in need of a web app to help them recruit and manage the staff and volunteers who run their holidays and events. We've worked with Scripture Union to design a web app developed to slot in seamlessly to Scripture Union's well-established workflow.

We've now worked with Scripture Union to extend the web app to include a host of new features.

The first big change is the extension of the web app's UI to incorporate event and holiday attendees; allowing for the booking and payment of holidays.

The new attendee functionality includes:

• Single attendee event and holiday booking.
• Group attendee bookings e.g. for friends and family members.
• Account based management of single and group bookings (viewing, filtering, booking and payment).
• Consolidated group booking communications.
• 3x booking forms based on holiday type.
• Full and split payment models e.g. deposit and further part or full payment.
• Prices based on age.
• Discount codes.
• New email templates based on user type.
• Integration of new booking types into existing admin interface.
• Reporting including financials, room shares, dietary requirement, parental/guardian consent.
• Statistics covering all attendee bookings, options chosen, and financials.

We've also worked with Scripture Union to extend the event and holiday staff and volunteer side of the web app, developing a new resource library for documents, images, and videos.

The new staff and volunteer resource library offers:

• Single and batch file uploads for admins.
• Structured folder layout with names and descriptions that can be edited to suit the event.
• File search, filtering, and editable tagging.
• Documents can be assigned to all users, or only those accepted to specific events.

Scripture Union's Event Staff Volunteer and Attendee Booking and Management Web App includes a wealth of functionality by design, and as a responsive mobile friendly cloud-based system is accessible from anywhere in the world on any device. Being a custom designed web app, as Scripture Union's requirements change, their Web App can evolve with them, new custom features developed and added on-demand to fit the developing needs of the staff, volunteers, and attendees using the Scripture Union Web App.
