We've been working with the team at Bridge Road Barbell designing a new website and developing a custom Content Management System (CMS) for the Surrey based strength and conditioning gym.
For the past decade, Bridge Road Barbell run by Phil Horwood, has forged a reputation for becoming the epitome of what a strength and power gym should be. Phil prides himself on learning and implementing knowledge in the fields of biomechanics, physics and sports and exercise science to teach people appropriate technique and execution of lifts, correct muscle activation and appropriate programming to help people achieve the best possible results. Based in Camberley, Surrey, Bridge Road Barbell offers a no frills strength and conditioning gym including power cages, monolifts, 45degree back extensions, cable machines, dumbbells, deadlift platforms, reverse hyper, glute ham raise machines, lat pull down, kettlebells, squat stands, belt squat machine, roman chairs, leg extensions, utility benches, competition powerlifting benches, leg presses, plyo boxes, hurdles and ladders, plate load row machines, bands and chains.
The new website we've designed for Bridge Road Barbell is developed upon the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). We developed a custom design for the website, then tailored a base WordPress CMS and WordPress Theme to the Bridge Road Barbell website's requirements. Following the new Bridge Road Barbell website going live; the WordPress CMS allows the team at Bridge Road Barbell to quickly and easily login to add new pages, images, and copy.
The Bridge Road Barbell website offers visitors a Mobile First Responsive Web Design (RWD) allowing for the Bridge Road Barbell website's content to be optimised for mobile interaction and predictably delivered irrespective of device e.g. desktop browser, notebook, tablet or smartphone.
We've integrated Advanced Custom Fields Professional (ACF Pro) and Elementor Pro into the Bridge Road Barbell website's CMS; allowing for custom post types; content structure; and simplifying page design across the Bridge Road Barbell website and CMS.
We’ve used Google Webfonts and Google Maps to optimise the Bridge Road Barbell website’s styling and usability.
The Bridge Road Barbell’s ecommerce solution is provided via a customised Woocommerce integration, utilising the PayPal merchant provider for membership, training manuals, online coaching and workouts.
