We've been working with the team at Wildflower Turf designing a new website and developing a custom Content Management System (CMS) for the Hampshire based Wildflower Turf company.
Founded in 2003 the Hampshire based company Wildflower Turf was created to meet the demand for ready-made wildflower meadows without the establishment problems associated with traditional seeding methods. Wildflower Turf supplies 180,000 metres squared of turf each year to a diverse range of private and commercial customers including gardeners, landscape contractors, architects, and educational establishments.
Before moving into the design and development for the new website we worked with Wildflower Turf to optimise their website’s UX; restructuring the website for an improved user flow; removing unnecessary content; moving and highlighting relevant content.
The new website we've designed for Wildflower Turf is developed upon the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). We created a custom design for the website, then tailored a base WordPress CMS and WordPress Theme to the Wildflower Turf website's requirements. Following the new Wildflower Turf website going live; the WordPress CMS allows the team at Wildflower Turf to quickly and easily login to add new pages, images, and copy.
The Wildflower Turf website offers visitors a Mobile First Responsive Web Design (RWD) allowing for the Wildflower Turf website’s content to be optimised for mobile interaction and predictably delivered irrespective of device e.g. desktop browser, notebook, tablet or smartphone.
We've integrated Advanced Custom Fields Professional (ACF Pro) into the Wildflower Turf website's CMS; allowing for custom post and content structure across the Wildflower Turf website and CMS.
The new Wildflower Turf website integrates Google Webfonts, Google Maps, custom CSS, custom JavaScript, and custom jQuery.
We’ve also integrated into the new Wildflower Turf website a custom product catalogue and blog, Mailchimp with newsletter signup, Social Media channels, and their Meadowscape Pro sub-brand.
