Web Design and PAAM Volunteer Software App Development for Hotbox Events

We've been working closely with our sister company Hotbox Events updating the design of the Hotbox Events website and developing new features for the Hotbox Events PAAM Volunteer Software App!

Hotbox Events was founded in 2003 running just 6 volunteers at the Leeds Festival. From then to now the company has grown and now recruits and manages close to 3,000 staff and volunteers each year at the Download Festival, Virgin V Festival, Latitude Festival, Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.

The Hotbox Events website is the first port of call for those interested in festival jobs and volunteering opportunities with each year; as recruiting thousands of staff and volunteers is no mean feat we designed the Hotbox Events website to be as eye catching and easy to navigate as possible.

The Hotbox Events PAAM Offsite Software App allows the Hotbox Events team to administer the pre-event and post-event staff and volunteer recruitment for the festivals, and in combination with the PAAM Onsite Software App allows the team to manage the teams whilst working onsite.

Design updates for the Hotbox Events website have included:

• New responsive newsletter and contact responder email template taking a design lead from the Hotbox Events website and optimised for mobile devices.
• Website design and navigation updated, and new landing pages added for the new festivals Hotbox Events will be working with in 2017.
• Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) across the website including frontend and backend design and development updates.
• Web design and development updates to improve the usability of the website on smartphones and tablets.
• Photo gallery updates from previous festivals.
• Frequently Asked Question updates and search function development to assist visitors with finding answers to questions regularly asked.
• Community Forum updates to allow past and new staff and volunteers to more easily interact and share advice and information.

Development updates for the Hotbox Events PAAM Software App have included:

• New responsive targeted messaging and notification email template taking a design lead from the Hotbox Events website and optimised for mobile devices.
• Application form updates to streamline the application process making it quicker and easier for staff and volunteers to complete a profile and apply for jobs and volunteer opportunities at festivals.
• New statistics allowing for day, month, and year comparison of user actions.
• The addition of pre-event meal voucher ordering and payment via debit or credit card.
• Updates to the user side layout and information provided throughout the system.
