We have been working with the team at The Gilded Cabinet designing a new WordPress website and developing a custom WooCommerce ecommerce solution for the interior design company.
Based in Alton Hampshire, The Gilded Cabinet presents a unique perspective on interior design; sourcing objects for the home which offer style, integrity, and beauty, but from a quirky and unusual standpoint; blending a strikingly eclectic mix of styles and periods to help you create an individual and inspiring home.
The new website we have designed for The Gilded Cabinet is developed upon the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). We developed a custom design for the website, then a ground up customised WordPress CMS and WordPress Theme to The Gilded Cabinet website’s requirements. Following the new Gilded Cabinet website going live the WordPress CMS allows the team at The Gilded Cabinet to quickly and easily login to add new pages, images, and copy.
The Gilded Cabinet website offers visitors a Mobile First Responsive Web Design (RWD) allowing for The Gilded Cabinet website's content to be optimised for mobile interaction and predictably delivered irrespective of device. The addition of custom mobile device navigation results in a highly optimised browsing experience.
The Gilded Cabinet website’s ecommerce solution is provided via a customised WooCommerce integration using the Stripe merchant provider for online payments, and offering customisable invoice and shipping labels.
We have integrated Advanced Custom Fields Professional (ACF Pro) into The Gilded Cabinet website’s CMS which allows for custom post and content structure within the website’s interior design portfolio, and across the rest of The Gilded Cabinet’s website and CMS.
To allow for on brand email marketing the website uses Mailchimp with custom email templates branded to The Gilded Cabinet.
The Gilded Cabinet website also includes the Masonry Cascading Grid layout library, custom CSS, custom JavaScript for image galleries (2 column for desktop, 1 column for mobile, Lightbox for detail), Google Fonts and Maps integrations.
To round things off we spent a day with The Gilded Cabinet team to train everyone in how to best utilise the new website, ecommerce and digital marketing systems.
